I have some at home but I am running low. I love vinegar so have no problem here :0) I just have to remember to get into the habit of having it each day!

No no! Do NOT brush your teeth straight away after drinking it! Acidic drinks such as apple cider vinegar, sports drinks, soft drinks, and fruit juice soften the top layer of the enamel on your teeth. Brushing straight away will remove that soft enamel and pretty soon you will find yourself with rubbery stumps. It is much better to rinse with fluoride (or even water if nothing else is available) and wait at least half an hour before brushing. It is also best to avoid eating fibrous foods immediately after acid exposure. http://www.dentistry.uq.edu.au/documents/Oral%20Health%20Brochure_SECURE%203.pdf
Great article though! I have also added apple cider vinegar to the shopping list.

The benefits sound good but am a bit afraid of drinking it, the thought of it makes me gag. I love using it dressings though, it's my favourite. I've also heard it's good for your hair/scalp so I might get testing it.

I prefer apple cider vinegar to normal vinegar in salads etc. Never thought to drink the stuff! But will give it a try.

what a fantastic tip! I'd heard of lemon juice in hot water but not apple cider vinegar - I have recently started to remove sugar from my diet so I will definitely be giving this a try.

For anyone with a sensitive digestion like me e.g. irritable bowel, I advise caution and to start with the tiniest dose to see if you can tolerate it. I took one teaspoon on an empty stomach and I was in great discomfort. Since then, I've learned to only take digestive supplements in miniscule doses and build up gradually. However, most people aren't as sensitive as me.

sassylily - Braggs organic or Melrose are good. You can get them from pharmacy online, health food stores or some supermarkets. I buy whatever's on the shelf in Coles or Woolies.

I use it to poach eggs but had never thought of drinking it. I'll be giving this a shot in the morning for sure! I'll also check out the health food shop to see the difference in supermarket bought and theirs. Thanks BH!! xxx

I've also heard that this is a good clarifying substance for the hair, though I haven't personally tried it.

My nutrtionist recommended I have a glass with lemon and water every morning during our time together however once we were done (6 weeks) she then informed me that I SHOULDN'T have this everyday as it ROTS YOUR TEETH!! Perhaps you could try drinking it through a straw? I could use to the taste after a while and it was almost like drinking cordial. Just make sure you don't eat food WITH it but BEFORE!! :)

I just bought some today and drank some before lunch with hot water...didn't mind the taste at all :) Definitely going to look into buying some straws tomorrow though, the acid can't be good for teeth.

I would love to see some references listed. It's highly irresponsible to share health information without proper support. Most of these claims are not supported by studies, fortunately there is one study that supports the use of acv for weight loss. If you want more professional information you can visit WebMD or similar websites.

Pity it has such a strong taste, because it really helps to keep skin clear! I also like to rinse it through my hair -makes it all shiny!
