Get your Hollywood smile on

I’ve heard lots of different things about teeth whitening before. Horror stories if you will, from friends of mine who have attempted to brighten their own smiles using at-home treatment trays and ending up with disastrous results. (Think beyond sensitive chompers and sore gums to match!)

Sure, they probably should have been more careful with the instructions, but I think a treatment like that, if you’re able to, is best left to the professionals. Which is why I wanted to go and see the amazing Dr. Fadi Yassmin from Broadway Dental. He was the man behind the bright smiles on 10 Years Younger in 10 Days after all!

As luck would have it, I was recently invited by Dr. Yassmin to trial Broadway Dental BriteSmile Whitening Treatment. I was over the moon at the chance to try the one-off procedure that uses gentle blue lights combined with the BriteSmile whitening gel to take your teeth up to 10 shades whiter. Now if your teeth are pretty stained from years of damage, this is definitely the treatment for you! The session is laid out in 3-4 20-minute sessions, where you lay back; watch a dvd (of your choice) while the light is attached to a mouthguard that holds your lips open. It may sound a little uncomfortable, but while you’re watching Summer Heights High (like I was) you barely even notice it’s there – seriously!

Once the four sessions had finished, the dental nurse showed me the difference in the colour of my teeth pre-treatment and post-treatment. They take a photo before and after you see, and let me tell you – the difference was amazing! I had celebrity-style super white teeth, which felt weird as I’m just a normal person! I literally couldn’t wipe the smile off my face.

The best part? The clinic also fit you with personal teeth-guards and touch-up solution, so you can ensure the bright white stays put for longer!

Not sure if you need teeth whitening? My guess is yes. Especially if you’ve got a penchant for things like red wine, coffee and smoking and want a mega watt smile that will give you the confidence boost you need.

Are you interested in teeth whitening?

Which treatment would you love to have done?

I've already had braces, but i'm personally interested in straightening up my teeth a little more. They've moved a little since i was 16! x

Wow, I would love to get my teeth whitened like this, however the price is also a bit celebrity. I will just have to stick with my whitening toothpaste, that really doesnt do enough :(

I think I definitely need a dose of something to whiten my teeth up - all that tea stains them pretty quick!

Olivia you could love Invisalign! It's so quick to do and I'd recommend it to anyone. I'm going to let Beth have some Invisalign done when she's about 18 (it's easier to not lose them if she's not at school and so young!).

I'm definately interested in teeth whitening, as having braces as a teen stained them a little. I just wish that they made teeth whitening more affordable for normal people. I definately can't justify just under a grand for that when I could get soo much more things with that money :(
Luckily though I don't smoke, drink coffee (I like herbal teas) or drink much alcohol, pretty boring aren't I ha ha!!

I would like to do a full on whitening treatment but my dentist said my teeth are fine and that i shouldnt do it. It would make a great gift for my dad however who is a massive red wine drinker/ heavy smoker/coffee guzzler. Hehe shame bout the price tag im glad my teeth are fine enough not to spend that kinda money on them.

I've used a few different brands, and they have all worked, but eventually they just start to leave your teeth feeling sensitive and become less effective. So i'm definately interested in trying something like this, it's quite expensive though so im not sure if ill do it or just wait for a better at home product to come out

Hey Tinaaa,
no it hasn't made my teeth sensitive at all - that was an initial fear of mine. They did feel a little sensitive by the 4th light session, but i am so happy to say they are completely back to normal, phew!

Serenthia, i will endeavor to get my hands on the photos for you!
Liv x

I like the idea of instant white teeth. I will keep my eye out for a good teeth whitening deal through those discount websites which send you deal of the day emails. Thanks Olivia.
