Here at bh we love trying out new beauty products (it’s one of our favourite perks of the job!), to help you guys on your beauty journeys. Read on to find out why these four newbies made the top of our list to review…

Pantene Pro-V 3 Minute Miracle Daily Moisture Renewal Conditioner

bh’s Sophia says:

I have quite short hair which I love to layer every morning with different hair products depending on what hairstyle I’d like for that day. I might use hairspray one day, a wax spray the next, then a putty, and then perhaps a bit of mousse. Come the end of the week, or when my hair is ready for a wash, I need something that will cheer my hair up from the product-beating it’s received. Enter Pantene’s 3 Minute Daily Moisture Renewal Conditioner. It made my hair feel so fresh, light and clean – basically revived! My tip would be to comb a 10 cent piece amount in damp hair for an extra lovin’ after your shower.

M.A.C Brows Are It – Big Brow Pencil

bh’s Sam says:

I wasn’t sure how this product was going to go, because it really is big! Almost like a crayon. But I actually found it more likeable than a regular brow pencil in the end. The colour payoff is quite sheer and buildable, so it was almost impossible to stuff it up and the shade I used (Lingering) gave my brows more depth and a fuller appearance, while still looking natural. Its waxy texture applied really smoothly, but surprisingly didn’t go stiff or hard like a wax. The colour stays all day and my brows feel like brows. I saw a M.A.C artist apply the pencil in strokes against the brow hairs and then brushed the hairs back into place with a spoolie – so I did the same. I was so surprised at how well this technique worked, I thought I’d definitely go outside my browline because the hairs were getting in the way, but once I brushed them back they were perfectly filled in. I like that it’s a wind-up too so there’s no mess from sharpening! Overall I couldn’t fault this product, but I’ll wait and see how long it lasts because I do use a fair bit of the crayon each time.

NIVEA Lip Care Lip Butter in Raspberry Rosé

bh’s Beth says:

My lips have been drier than usual due to the colder weather, and as a result they have become quite flaky and chapped. Luckily I’ve been using NIVEA Lip Butter in Raspberry Rosé, which is hands down my new favourite winter lip product. It has such a luscious, buttery texture and a little bit goes a really long way. The creamy formula also plumps my lips more than any other lip balm I’ve tried, and it has a subtle, matte finish which I really love. Usually I use a stick lip balm, so the little tin was something new, but I’ve found it just as convenient to use. After applying this product once or twice a day for a few days, I’m convinced it’s incredibly good for protecting and healing dry lips. Not only does it provide a long-lasting barrier against the elements, I also found an existing crack in the middle of my lower lip healed completely in just one day. Oh, and did I mention the formula tastes exactly like raspberry lollies? Pretty great for a product that costs $4.99!

Mitchum Clinical Gel No White Marks – Cool Fresh

bh’s Anna says:

I have used Mitchum Clinical deodorants before and have always been so impressed with their performance so I was super keen to try this new gel formulation. The very first time I used it, I wasn’t a fan of the feeling of the gel under my arms – it definitely takes a bit of getting used to. Once it dries though, it’s totally fine. I used it before bed and found that the next day I not only smelt fresh but I stayed dry, even after exercise – impressive, right?! If you’re a fan of clinical deodorants I would definitely recommend giving this new formula a go!
