Five hot ways to hair accessorise – page 2

Sick of sporting the same old hairstyle every time you step out the door? If you’re bored with your run-of-the-mill flowing mane and have done your regular up-do to death, then it’s time to up the ante on the hair stakes! And luckily, where we come from that doesn’t mean having to set aside an extra hour of prep time (we know you’re busy ladies!). All you need is a selection of hot hair accessories and you can transform your everyday ‘do into a super original style.

But don’t just take our word for it. Check out how the A-listers are accessorising and follow our how-to guide to get the look yourself…

Slicked-back and sophisticated with Emily Blunt

Ms Blunt clearly picked up some style tips on the set of The Devil Wears Prada, showing us how to add instant glamour to a slicked-back side bun.

Hair accessories to have on hand:

Hairvenly Extensions Jovan Jane Black Band with Beaded Flower
Lady Jayne Instyle Decorated Clip
Mimco Kaleidoscope Clip

Get the look:

1.) Sweep some smoothing serum through your locks before pulling your hair towards one shoulder and tying into a low ponytail that sits slightly off-centre at the nape of your neck.

2.) Twist the end of your ponytail until it forms a ‘rope’, then wind around your elastic band and secure in place with bobby pins.

3.) Spritz your entire head with a shine-enhancing finishing spray, before pinning a feathered clip to one side of your head so that it sits just above your ear.

Hot tip: Don’t mess up your ‘do by readjusting your hair accessory a million times – hold it up to your hair until you’re happy with the positioning, and then go ahead and pin.
